Looking for something fun and FREE to do with the family?
Come on out to the Jazz on the Green Concert Series! Jazz on the Green is an Omaha tradition dating back to 1975 and is provided by the Omaha Performing Arts. Previously, the concert series was held at the Joslyn Art Museum, before being moved to the newly renovated and centrally located Turner Park in 2010. Turner Park features wide open spaces for kids to run around and play in; in addition to the natural amphitheater, providing the perfect fit for this summer tradition.
The FREE and open to the public Jazz on the Green concerts are held every Thursday from July 7 through August 11. The venue opens at 5pm and free parking begins at 4:30pm. Since this event is so popular, it is recommended that you show up early if you want front row seating.
This weeks (7/07/16) pre-show music will be performed by BluesEd, followed by the main act at 7:30pm: Blue House with the Rent to Own Horns , who will bring their unique sound of a twist of blues and powerful horn interludes.
