Introduction of brunch to friend, as always, everyone we bring finds Lot 2 to be superb! The chicken and waffles were fantastic, as are all the other brunch dishes.
When deciding where to bring foodie friends to dine out, The Grey Plume is always at the top of the list. From the decor to the dishes and certainly the food, it’s one of the best restaurants I have been to in the nation.
My husband & I went with another couple to the 801 Chophouse for supper and it was great! We had the bone in filet and it was cooked to perfection. Love that they serve the sides family style so we could order several things and share. Great wine selection too!
The food is outstanding, very flavorful and innovative. Salads are great and the pasta is amazing. It’s a great place for a fun night out!
We had a lovely dinner of eggplant parmesan and grouper with a nice wine. This restaurant always feels intimate and cozy, and I’ve always had excellent food.
Each Saturday evening, a group of us numbering anywhere between 6 to 16 go to a different restaurant. By alphabetical order using last names, each one of us selects a restaurant somewhere in the metropolitan area each week. Last Saturday, November 14th was my turn. I selected the Railcar Modern American Kitchen as the venue. After checking to see who emailed an RSVP to me, I placed a reservation for ten. When we arrived, there were 4 extra people who sent emails, but I had not received. This did not present an issue for the staff and they pleasantly made plenty of room to seat all of us together. The service was superb. Everyone’s meal was served simultaneously, hot and deliciously cooked exactly as ordered. Drink glasses were kept full and our waiter checked on us frequently. Several of us opted for the Ribeye steak or Prime Rib which were listed on a separate menu. Meat portions were large and covered the plate. I asked mine to be cooked medium and it was – served hot and pink in the middle just as it should have been. It’s very difficult to serve 14 people and not have one complaint. However, the management, staff, servers and cooks achieved an insurmountable goal last Saturday with our group. When a restaurant gets five stars from our finicky cadre of connoisseurs with a promise we’ll be back and tell our friends, you’ve won the restaurant Super Bowl. Thank you for one if not the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.
My wife and I tried Crave for the first time on our anniversary. It was a wonderful evening. We stated with sushi and both had seafood. The food was prepared perfectly, well seasoned and the presentation was well done. The wine selection was good with great variety. It happened to be 1/2 price night on bottles of wine, a pleasant surprise. Our waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable, attentive but not suffocating. Pricing is comparable to other restaurants in the area. We will be going back.
