Zoo Announces SVP of Guest Experience, Brand and Revenue

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is proud to announce the appointment of Megan Longo as the new Senior Vice President of Guest Experience, Brand and Revenue. This pivotal role will see Megan spearheading the development, implementation and refinement of mission-aligned strategies aimed at fostering brand loyalty through exceptional guest experience.

The search, recruitment and selection process was highly competitive and national in scope. Led by our consulting firm, Shelli Herman and Associates, the process ensured that we found the best candidate for this crucial role. Megan brings a wealth of expertise in customer-centric leadership, communications and strategic operations to this new senior executive position.

“I look forward to illuminating our Zoo’s outstanding position among top zoos and aquariums worldwide, and advancing the experience and value we bring to our guests,” said Longo. “The opportunity to merge mission-driven business strategy with high quality guest outcomes creates a harmonious framework to uplift our organization’s incredible legacy for generations to come. It will be an honor to lead this work with Dr. Padilla and his team.”

Megan has significantly contributed to marketing, brand, corporate communications and organizational effectiveness at her previous organizations. Her roles saw her driving growth and customer loyalty through innovation, emphasizing mindful engagement and memorable experiences at every touchpoint.

“Megan has unique expertise in how we serve and appeal to our audiences. She brings a deep understanding of our local community and broad knowledge of the national trends that lead to impactful guest experiences,” said Dr. Luis Padilla, president and CEO. “We are excited to have Megan as the architect behind a brand that our community equates with how we deliver on our mission of inspiring, educating and engaging people to have a better appreciation of animals and their habitats.”

Megan officially joined Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park on Monday, June 24. The Zoo looks forward to introducing her to our community and embarking on the next phase of growth and opportunities under her leadership.
