A new year brings a fresh start, and at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, it also brings new ways to gather, celebrate, and feel welcome. As the calendar turns, the Zoo is leaning into what it does best: creating moments that are meant to be shared.
From special perks for members to kid-friendly celebrations and a community-wide invitation to visit, the start of the year is filled with reasons to come together.
Celebrate Early at Noon Year’s Eve
Noon Year’s Eve offers a different kind of celebration on New Year’s, one that is lively, playful, and perfectly timed for kids of all ages.
This daytime event includes Ambassador Animals and biofacts for hands-on learning, music from a DJ, character meet-and-greets, and a countdown to 2026 that happens well before bedtime. It is a chance to celebrate together, without watching the clock all night.

A Gift to the Community
As part of the Zoo’s commitment to access and community, children under 12 can enjoy free daytime admission from December 26 through December 31. Up to six children may enter free with a paid adult, making it easier for families to spend time together during the holiday break.
This offer applies to daytime Zoo admission and does not include Zoolightful.
A Year of Thanks for Members
Membership is about more than unlimited visits. It is about knowing that you’re a part of something special. Beginning in the new year, members can look forward to another full calendar of monthly Member Appreciation Days, each designed to add something extra to a regular Zoo visit.
On select dates throughout the year, members can enjoy perks like one free daytime guest, 20% off food and gift shop purchases, interactive animal and enrichment experiences, free roundtrip ride tickets, and early entry. These days are a thank you to the members who support the Zoo year-round and help make its work possible.
