OMAHA, Neb. — As organizations continue to expand inclusive programming, Outlook Enrichment is working to ensure individuals with vision loss have access to activities that promote engagement and connection.
The organization hosts a variety of events throughout the year, giving participants opportunities to take part in group activities with the support of volunteers. The goal is to create an environment where individuals can feel involved and supported.
“Everything that Outlook Enrichment does is to expose people who are visually impaired to different experiences,” said Steve Blaskovich, a volunteer golf instructor.
Programs like these highlight the importance of accessibility and support, especially for individuals who may face challenges participating in everyday activities without assistance.
“I realize somebody’s got to give up their time and their patience to come play with me… that’s the biggest struggle I have,” said Richard Sobetski, a participant with vision loss. “Someone’s got to give up their time.”
Volunteers help bridge that gap by offering guidance and support, allowing participants to fully take part in each activity.
Outlook Enrichment continues to host events and is encouraging more volunteers to get involved.
