OMAHA, Neb- The organization “WeMakeOmaha” hosted a conference called “Health X Place” on March 3rd, discussing the idea of a comprehension plan that will give ways to make Omaha healthier. It goes in depth about what this 10-year plan will attempt to bring in order to make the city bring as City Planner, Sydney Embray provides what will occur, and goes in depth what a comprehensive plan is.
“Comprehensive plans are what gives us the ability to regulate land use” Embray said.
“They set a long-term vision and long-term goals for what our city should be and for the people that live here.”
The plan goes in depth about how the city will need to be treated by the city of Omaha as a community to contain.

This conference also brought in many health experts, including Leah Casanave, who is the Division Chief at the Health Department, who gives her excitement about what WeMakeOmaha is doing.
“For the city, I think it’s fantastic that they’re including health as part of their priorities to really showcase the importance of their guiding principles” Casanave said.
How health plays a role in that and specifically looking at public health that our social determinance of health really move into those 7 vital conditions”
Health X Place is a high tier aspect that brings together a group of people in order to make Omaha healthy, and to showcase what is important for everyone involved in.
