For the second straight week Omaha Beef quarterback Tommy Armstrong has been named Offensive Player of the Week. In his week 11 performance he rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns while going 9 of 14 for 111 yards passing and four touchdowns. This is the third time this season Armstrong has won the award as his first came in week 2.
The Beef (9-0) are on bye this week and will host Sioux City on May 27 at Liberty First Credit Union Arena for the 50th meeting between the two teams. Omaha has locked up home field advantage for the playoffs and a opening round bye. The semi-finals will take place on June 10th.
