Coach Jones Takes Defensive Experience to HUB Football Camp

This past weekend, our very own, Coach Marvin Jones, joined a group of talented coaches for the annual HUB Football Camp.

Founded in 2019 by Don Yee, (better known as the agent who represents reigning Super Bowl MVP and Champion, Tom Brady) the camp was constructed for the purpose of evaluating professional level free agents, and developing them into better prospects. The camp is 1-2 days, consisting of OTA style workouts, and is by invite only.

HUB Football boasts a coaching staff that is a collection of talented and decorated individuals, with experience at different levels of the game, and now, coach Jones gets to add his name as the LB/Defensive Line coach. “It was an honor to be a part of such a great event with so many talented people.” Jones said. “Especially a guy like coach [Geep] Chryst, who’s work I know from when he was coaching with the 49ers. All these guys bring their own knowledge and experience of the game and now I get to bring mine as well.”

When asked what he took away from his first experience at the HUB Football Camp, coach said, “Things like this can only help me be a better coach so I can teach my players to be the best as well. It also creates the opportunity to keep my talent scouting up to par. When I’m looking for players it opens a “database” of guys that maybe I can help, and maybe want to be a part of the Omaha Beef.”

Coach Jones will return to Omaha, NE immediately following the conclusion of the camp to resume his duties as Head Coach of the Omaha Beef. Players report for training camp Thursday, March 18th, and will no doubt be FULL of young and hungry players looking to make the final roster for the 2021 season.

“Hungry mouths get fed. I’m looking for guys that wanna eat. Go Beef!” – Coach Jones
