The difference between an affordable family outing and a disappointing bill often comes down to one line of the offer. A free kids entree may require an adult meal. Half-price bowling may not include shoes. A good package price may not start until long after a younger child’s bedtime.

Several Omaha-area merchants publish enough detail to plan around those differences. These are discoveries from their own pages, not discounts issued by NowOmaha or OmahaOffers. Weekly schedules and availability can change, so use the source link again before heading out.

Tuesday dinner: Hurrdat in La Vista

Hurrdat Sports Bar & Grill lists an all-day Tuesday offer at its La Vista location, 12744 Westport Parkway, Suite 1A. A child 12 or younger receives one free kids entree with the purchase of an adult entree.

The useful number is one. This is not a claim that every child at a table eats free when a single adult orders. The merchant’s page names choices such as cheese pizza, a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, but the entitlement is the kids entree, not an unlimited order or a promise that every extra is included.

For a family that already wants a sit-down dinner, the age limit and one-for-one condition make the offer fairly easy to compare with a normal meal out.

Monday or Tuesday: PizzaWest

PizzaWest’s 2026 specials page lists a Monday dine-in offer: a half-price kids meal with an adult entree purchase. No coupon is required and the offer cannot be combined with other offers. The page does not state an age cutoff or the final kids-meal price, so ask before ordering if either affects your plan.

Tuesday brings a different proposition: one medium specialty pizza and one medium single-topping pizza for $28. It appears under the dine-in specials. That is a price for a specified pair, not a discount on any two pizzas you choose.

The page identifies locations at 12040 McDermott Plaza, Suite 300, in La Vista and 12301 West Maple Road in Omaha. Choose the offer first, then confirm the location and current menu.

Tuesday activities: Spare Time Omaha

Spare Time’s Omaha specials advertise 50% off Game Zone games, open bowling and laser tag on Tuesdays, open to close, at 17202 Lakeside Hills Plaza.

Shoe rental is not included. The merchant also notes unspecified exclusions, extra taxes, availability limits and possible major-holiday exceptions. Those caveats matter when comparing bowling with another activity; the headline percentage is not necessarily half of the entire family bill.

The same page lists unlimited bowling with shoes for $8.99 per person Sunday-Wednesday from 9 to 11 p.m. That is a separate late-night package, not the Tuesday offer’s inclusion list. It may fit an older group’s schedule better than a young family’s evening.

Compare the whole outing

Start with the number of adult meals you would buy anyway, then add drinks, extras, shoes or other charges the merchant excludes. Avoid building a budget around combining specials when that permission is not stated.

You do not need to chase every weekly deal. One correctly matched offer, on the right day and at a workable hour, is more useful than a bigger promised saving that does not apply to your family.
