A Grand Home Opening
For the first time since 2021, the Storm Chasers will kick off their regular season with a home game at Werner Park on Friday, March 29, facing off against their I-80 rivals, the Iowa Cubs. Get your mitts and foam fingers ready because it promises to be a showdown to remember.
Packed Season Ahead
This season will span parts of seven months, wrapping up on the road at Louisville from September 17 to 22. It’s a balanced campaign with 75 home and 75 road games, but what truly stands out are the marquee matchups.
Reviving Old Rivalries
The Storm Chasers and the Iowa Cubs will be clashing 18 times throughout the season. Fans will be treated to one six-game series at Werner Park from August 6-11, two three-game series from March 28-30 and July 1-3, as well as series at Principal Park in Des Moines.
Long-Awaited Returns and New Faces
The Storm Chasers will be making their first trip to Buffalo since 1997 for a six-game series at Sahlen Field from August 20-25 against the Toronto Blue Jays affiliate. They’ll also return to Rochester for a third straight season to face off against the Washington Nationals affiliate from July 30 to August 4.
The Miami Marlins affiliate, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, will make their inaugural trip to Werner Park for a six-game series from May 7-12, promising some new dynamics on the field.
Special Dates to Remember
The Storm Chasers will also be part of several holiday festivities, hosting the Iowa Cubs on Easter Sunday (March 31) and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Mother’s Day (May 12). Don’t miss the annual FNBO Independence Day Fireworks game on July 3 against Iowa!
Extended Home and Away Stints
One of the standout features of the schedule is a double-homestand, where the Storm Chasers will play 12 straight home games against Iowa and Louisville from August 6-18. They’ll also have one two-week road trip against St. Paul and Rochester from July 23 to August 4.
More Thrilling Encounters
Omaha will also welcome a plethora of other teams for multiple six-game series including the Louisville Bats, Toledo Mud Hens, Indianapolis Indians, Columbus Clippers, Gwinnett Stripers, Memphis Redbirds, and St. Paul Saints. It’s a baseball smorgasbord you won’t want to miss!
Coming Soon: Game Times
While the matchups have been set, game times for both home and road contests will be announced at a later date. So, mark your calendars, but keep your eyes peeled for the full timing details.
