OMAHA Neb. – The Villain Arts Tattoo Festival made a stop in Omaha for the 8th time this past weekend, featuring artists from across the country offering tattoos, art and entertainment.
Those who attended the event had the opportunity to meet artists for appointments or walk-in tattoos, as well as attend many different shows from performers like Alakazam, an Australian stunt performer and tattoo artist, who performed many shows over the weekend. When asked about the benefits for the tattooing community from events like this, Alakazam stated, “All the best artists in the country are in one place.”
The Villain Arts Tattoo Festival travels from city to city throughout the entire year, offering people from anywhere in the country the chance to meet artists they would never have had the chance to.
The community growth of these events is not only in how it brings people together, but it also helps those who may not be into the tattooing scene learn to appreciate it.

Tattoo artist Filip Kotarlic spoke on why these events can draw people in from outside the tattooing scene. “Quick openings can be very interesting for people… they want to get tatted quickly.”
The Villain Arts Tattoo Festival will continue throughout the year from city to city with Baltimore and Kansas City up next, and the year ending off with Tampa in November.
