Wednesday Student Night Designer Showcase — Omaha Fashion Week

Sarah Fili of KETV hosted our show with grace and attitude. She was styled by the incredible, Maddie Graham, better known as, The Frugal Fox, with entirely secondhand and vintage clothing.

We witnessed the beginning of many young creatives’ journey into design during our Student Night Designer Showcase. Over the years, many who become regular Omaha Fashion Week designers start as high school students. It is always so inspiring to see the young generations of designers debut on our runway. We just can’t help but envision them as future Emerging, Featured, and eventually Headlining designers.

The first half of our show started with high-school-age fashion design programs from all over Nebraska including; 4-H; Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Fashion Program; Nebraska Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); Kent Bellows Mentoring Program at the Joslyn Art Museum; Omaha South High Magnet School; Westside High School; Bluebird Cultural Initiative.
