Zoo Announces Gift to the Community, Noon Year’s Eve and a New Zoolightful Experience

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is closing out the year with three exciting ways for families to celebrate the holiday season: free admission for children, a new experience at Zoolightful and Noon Year’s Eve.

Free Admission for Children It’s the Zoo’s gift to the community! Children under 12 can enjoy free daytime admission to the Zoo from December 26 through December 31. Up to six children, under 12, can be admitted to the Zoo for free with a paid adult. This offer does not extend to Zoolightful admission.

A Grouchy Takeover at Zoolightful: On Thursday, December 26, Santa’s North Pole is under new management! While Santa takes his leave for a much-deserved vacation, a certain grouchy, green holiday character is taking over. Join in on the fun with this special guest experience, crafts and more every evening beginning Thursday, December 26.

Noon Year’s Eve: Families are invited to ring in the New Year with Noon Year’s Eve on December 31, beginning at 10 a.m. Noon Year’s Eve will offer special activities including a countdown to noon, a DJ dance party, a photo booth and opportunities to meet the Zoo’s ambassador animals. Daytime visitors will also have access to select Zoolightful activities during the event.
