Omaha Fashion Week is inspired by a look into the world of designers and their process of creation. The atmosphere of the events features installations made of design tools, sketches, dress forms, and more…all at the Omaha Design Center.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by valet services and stepped outside to take their photos on the Trios Salon Red Carpet, photographed by FotoFunSpot. Inside the space, guests enjoyed house music and sipped signature cocktails in the VIP Lounge.
Our emcee, Brook Hudson, hosted our show with confidence and charisma in a look from The Loft at Remlo Studios! Our backstage Beauty Alliance, run by SOHO Hair Academy, used Surface Hair Care products to create magic on our Develop Models.
To kick off our week of fashion, Friday night’s showcases opened with headliner Dan Richters, who showcased his new collection of wearable art on the Omaha Fashion Week Runway. During the first half of the show, emerging designers’ collections walked the runway: MaP, I’m Hooked on Stuffies, and ONOMY. A retrospective collection by Dan Ricthers closed the first half of the show to celebrate his years of design before receiving the Sabrina Jones Spirit Award. This award is meant to recognize a community member who gives back to the local fashion community. We celebrated his humility, hard work, and dedication for fostering young talent in Omaha.
During intermission, house music kept the energy up and attendees enjoyed looking through their Omaha FASHION Magazine. Guests were sure to check out this season’s merchandise, designed by our very own apprenticeship program!
