There’s a definite wow factor as you enter Omaha’s grand former Union Station, an Art Deco beauty with 65-foot-tall ceilings, copper-and-glass chandeliers and patterned terrazzo floor. Life-size sculptures of passengers deliver a recorded history of the station, and kids have a blast climbing aboard an old streetcar and passenger trains. Cap off the visit with a phosphate or malt at the soda fountain and candy shop.
