With the delightful blend of sweet corn-infused vodka, fresh basil, lime, and a touch of soda, this drink offers a taste of Nebraska’s heartland with every sip.

Here’s the recipe for the Cornfield Cooler:

  • 2 oz sweet corn-infused vodka (see note below)
  • 5 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedge and basil leaf for garnish

  1. To make sweet corn-infused vodka: Steep kernels from 1 ear of corn in 2 cups of vodka for 2-3 days. Strain before using.
  2. In a shaker, muddle the basil leaves with the lime juice and simple syrup.
  3. Add the sweet corn-infused vodka and a handful of ice cubes. Shake well.
  4. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
  5. Top off with club soda and give it a gentle stir.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge and a basil leaf.
