The Holland is not one room: choose Kathy Tyree, Black Violin or Big Wreck by the night you want

"At the Holland" is not enough information to buy next weekend's music ticket. Between November 13 and 15, the organizer lists an Omaha vocalist in Holland Music Club, Black Violin at the Holland Performing Arts Center, and Big Wreck at Matchbox Omaha. The room is part of the choice, not a detail to leave until you arrive.

Here is the useful split: a Friday bill led by a local artist, a Sunday afternoon built around violin and viola with hip-hop, or Sunday-night rock. These are separate admissions, not one weekend pass or one show moving between rooms.

Friday: put an Omaha voice at the center

An Evening with Kathy Tyree and Friends is Friday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Holland Music Club. Ticket Omaha advertises tickets from $35, and names music director, singer and songwriter Ananias "Markey" Montague alongside Tyree.

The organizer describes a program crossing soul, R&B, pop, rock, musical theater and gospel. The reason to choose it is that range with an Omaha artist leading the bill, not an expectation of one genre or a set list we cannot verify. The dedicated page calls the show all ages and lists doors 90 minutes before showtime, which makes the posted doors time 6 p.m.

Sunday afternoon: strings without the assumption of a symphony program

Black Violin starts Sunday, November 15, at 4 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center. The advertised starting price is $42. Kev Marcus and Wil Baptiste's Full Circle project pairs violin and viola with hip-hop elements. That is a different listening proposition from treating any string-led concert as a conventional orchestral subscription night.

Check the date carefully. O-pa separately advertises a student matinee for November 16. The Sunday public performance is the one covered here.

Also separate the ordinary ticket from the premium experience. The event page's VIP package includes a premium seat, a portion of soundcheck, a Q&A and a photo opportunity. Those benefits do not come with every $42 starting-price ticket. A happy-hour add-on is separately advertised too.

Sunday night: Matchbox, not the afternoon concert

Big Wreck with Tim Montana is Sunday, November 15, at 8 p.m. in Matchbox Omaha, with tickets advertised from $37.50. For someone seeking the hard-rock option, this is the distinct choice, not Black Violin's late set.

The primary page directs Matchbox guests through the Holland Arrival Plaza doors at 12th and Douglas, with doors one hour before the show. It also describes Matchbox as the Holland Center's club stage. Choose the ticket type you actually want rather than assuming the room setup from another Holland show.

Could you attend both Sunday performances? We have not verified an end time for Black Violin. Do not treat the four-hour difference between start times as a guaranteed itinerary.

Before you pay

All three pages call the shows all ages and the venues cashless. The organizer also warns that construction near its venues can affect traffic and parking access. Have mobile tickets ready and check the organizer's arrival guidance instead of promising yourself a particular garage or a quick door-to-seat time.

Starting prices are signposts, not a quote for any chosen seat. Confirm the final ticket total and leave upgrades out of the comparison unless you actually want them. Browse This Weekend for the dated records, then use the primary ticket page for the final room, seat and admission check.
