Can You Find OMAI? | Visit Omaha

OMAHA, NE. August 18, 2022 – Omaha has a second troll, but you are going to have to find her. Her name is OMAI (pronounced O-MY) and she is OMAR the Troll’s little sister. Unlike OMAR, who sits underneath the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, OMAI is roaming around the city and tracking her down will lead families on a fun Omaha adventure.

“Our goal with the OMAI project is to inspire visitors and local residents to explore the city,” said Visit Omaha executive director, Deborah Ward. “As families search for OMAI, they will collect a special memento at each stop to remember their hunt.”

Visit OMAIAdventure.com to map out the ten area attractions OMAI might be visiting at any given time, or families can simply look for OMAI’s footprints around the city. Each set of footprints includes a QR code that you can scan to learn more about OMAI’s adventure at that location. Next, pick up a different commemorative button at each spot. To add to the fun, OMAI followers can go to the Omaha Visitors Center at 10th and Farnam and pick up a free OMAI backpack – just like the one she carries – to show off all the buttons collected.

OMAI’s stops currently include:

  1. The Amazing Pizza Machine

  2. Boys Town

  3. The Durham Museum

  4. Fontenelle Forest

  5. Hot Shops Art Center

  6. Omaha Children’s Museum

  7. Lauritzen Gardens

  8. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium

  9. OMAR and Bob the Bridge

  10. Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum

So the question is … can you find OMAI?
