Hello, Omaha cocktail lovers! As we embrace the beauty of our surroundings, this week’s featured cocktail is inspired by the breathtaking sunsets over Nebraska’s prairies. Introducing: The Prairie Sunset!

This visually stunning cocktail captures the vibrant colors of a sunset with layers of orange, red, and pink, and combines the refreshing tastes of citrus and berry. It’s a perfect drink to enjoy as you unwind and watch the day turn into night.

  • 1 ½ oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Orange juice
  • 1 oz Cranberry juice
  • ½ oz Raspberry liqueur (like Chambord)
  • A splash of Lemon-lime soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slice and raspberry for garnish

  1. In a shaker, combine vodka and orange juice with ice.
  2. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled glass.
  3. Slowly pour the cranberry juice over the back of a spoon to create a layer on top of the orange juice.
  4. Carefully add the raspberry liqueur in the same manner to create another layer.
  5. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda for a bit of fizz.
  6. Garnish with an orange slice and a raspberry.
