This unique cocktail combines the bold red of the Chiefs and the gold rush of the 49ers into one glass, making it the perfect drink to enjoy while you watch the game, no matter which team you’re rooting for.
Ingredients for the Chiefs Layer:
- 1 oz Cranberry juice
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Grenadine
- Ice cubes
Ingredients for the 49ers Layer:
- 1 oz Pineapple juice
- 1 oz Gold rum
- A splash of orange liqueur
- Ice cubes
Additional:
- Gold and red sugar for rimming the glass
- Lemon wheel for garnish
Instructions:
- Begin by preparing your glass. Rim the edge with lemon juice then dip it into a mix of gold and red sugar to represent both teams.
- For the Chiefs Layer: In a shaker, mix cranberry juice, vodka, and grenadine with ice. Shake well, then carefully strain into the bottom half of your prepared glass.
- For the 49ers Layer: Rinse your shaker. Then, shake pineapple juice, gold rum, and a splash of orange liqueur with ice. Slowly and gently strain this over the back of a spoon on top of the Chiefs layer to create a layered effect.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim.
