Kickoff the holiday season by joining Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for festive-filled encounters on December 1, 8 and 15.
From 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium, holiday helpers, such as elves and reindeer, will make a dive in the shark tunnel. Throughout the Zoo, keepers will place
Holiday-themed animal enrichment at the following times:
• 10 a.m. Lied Jungle Enrichment
• 10:30 a.m. Desert Dome Enrichment
• 10:30-11 a.m. Scott Aquarium Shark Tunnel Diving
• 1 p.m. Hubbard Orangutan Forest Indoor Display Enrichment
• 1:30 p.m. Cat Complex Enrichment
• 2:30 p.m. Expedition Madagascar Enrichment
• 3 p.m. Kingdoms of the Night Enrichment
Zoo visitors will get a special treat on December 22 when Santa joins his helpers for a special dive in the shark tunnel from 10:30-11 a.m.
Santa will also be visiting the Zoo at Supper with Santa on December 14-15 and 21-22 from 6 to 8 p.m. This ticketed event includes a spaghetti dinner, activity stations, story time and photo opportunities with Santa. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit OmahaZoo.com/special-events.
