Members Invited to Free Monthly Keeper Connection Talks

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium invites its members to attend Keeper Connection, a free program featuring a Zoo employee speaker each month. Speakers will include representatives from various departments such as zookeepers, scientists, veterinarians, horticulturists and executive level staff.

Keeper Connection takes place in Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Pavilion’s auditorium the third Tuesday of each month September through May from 12 to 1 p.m. November’s speaker will be Jack Hetherington, supervisor of hoofstock and rhino at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on November 20. This program is free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium Members over the age of 18.

The mission of Keeper Connection is to invite the audience to gain a better and fuller knowledge of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium by allowing Zoo employees to share about their role in the Zoo and projects they are involved with. The program is organized and run by Volunteer Services within the Zoo’s education department.

Future Keeper Connection speakers will be listed on the Zoo’s website at www.OmahaZoo.com and on its social media pages. Speakers are subject to change at any time.
