Visit Omaha Staff Grows as Recovery is Underway



OMAHA, NE. Feb. 22, 2021 – Visit Omaha, the official tourism authority for the City of Omaha and Douglas County, is adding employees and promoting staff members in the sales, marketing and visitor services departments, as the organization gears up for post-pandemic recovery.

“We’re building a diverse team with talented individuals who have a strong sense of collaboration,” said Visit Omaha Executive Director Deborah Ward. “We look forward to leveraging the experience that Erin, Patrick, Shannon and Noelle will bring to help promote Omaha as a leading destination in the Midwest.”

Having worked for Visit Omaha for the past seven years, Erin O’Brien will now serve as the organization’s director of marketing and content. She will oversee the execution of Omaha’s digital brand and presence. O’Brien joined Visit Omaha in 2014 as the social media manager. Prior to Visit Omaha, O’Brien worked for the Omaha Public Library and the Tallahassee Democrat, a Florida newspaper.

Along with the promotion of Erin O’Brien, the Visit Omaha team grows by three with the additions of Patrick Keele, Shannon Wiig and Noelle Agenor.

Taking over the social media manager duties will be Noelle Agenor. Agenor brings five years of experience in marketing and graphic design to the Visit Omaha team. As social media manager, she is responsible for developing and executing campaigns for Visit Omaha’s social media platforms.

The newest member of the Visit Omaha convention sales team is Patrick Keele. Keele will be the organization’s new research analyst, and will help the team evaluate convention and group tour opportunities. With more than six years in hospitality, he previously worked for Caesar’s Entertainment as a marketing campaign supervisor.

With more than 20 years of experience in customer-driven insights, marketing, and brand-building communications, Shannon Wiig is the new director of visitor services for Visit Omaha. She will manage the Omaha Visitors Center and develop visitor experience programs to ensure consumer satisfaction. Wiig joined Visit Omaha from First National Bank where she served as the senior brand manager. She previously worked at ConAgra Foods as a consumer insights manager, leading research and customer experience efforts.
