The Grey Plume

The Grey Plume, located in Midtown Crossing, absolutely goes above and beyond. Eating here is truly an experience I would recommend to anyone. For my very first visit, I chose to sit at the bar so that I could watch the chefs work their magic. This was one of my favorite parts of the whole evening. It was as if an artist was perfecting his masterpiece.

To start things off, I went with a bowl of their local heirloom popcorn of the day, which was flavored with truffle oil and rosemary. Hands down, this was the best popcorn I have ever had and could have easily made a meal of just this; but, I couldn’t stop there. Since I’ve heard such wonderful things about the Scallops and the Charcuterie Board, that was a must and let me tell you, I do not regret that decision one bit! I was simply amazed at all the wonderful flavors. And everything was plated so beautifully. For the main event so to speak, I ordered the Waygu Beef. One word describes this dish, it was: perfect! So very tender and full of flavor. Absolutely stunning.  To bring things to an end, I had to order dessert, because honestly how do you not order dessert?

I am a chocolate lover to my core and they nailed it with this sweet chocolately heaven. If not for anything else, I will be back for this wonderful creation!

The waitstaff and bartenders were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.  Not only is the food menu awesome, the local beer, wine, and cocktail list was abundant.  As an added bonus as I was leaving, I was given a package of cookies which was not only unexpected but a spectacular ending to an already impeccable experience. I cannot wait to go back and try more items on the menu.
