Join Us for Fall Fun at Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium and Wildlife Safari Park

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is welcoming fall with something for everyone from a family outing to a night out with friends (21 and older).

Eat, drink and be scary! Join us on Thursdays, October 13 and 20, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. for a frightfully fun version of Late Nights at the Zoo: Halloween Edition. Adults 21 and over can sink their teeth into local food truck cuisine and drinks at the most interesting cocktail hour in town. New for the Halloween Edition is viewing of over 400 larger-than-life Halloween-themed lanterns in Bay Family Children’s Adventure Trails and the fire show performances by Omaha Circus Arts. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged. Reserve your tickets ahead of time and save $5 per event admission at OmahaZoo.com/Special-Events.

Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park is celebrating the Halloween season with Howl-O-Ween Safari from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October. 15. Join us around the campfire for dinner, a marshmallow roast, a ride on a straw-filled hayrack ride, and to play Halloween-themed games in the great outdoors at Wildlife Safari Park after-hours. This event also includes your very own treat bag and don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume! For more information or to register, please visit WildlifeSafariPark.com/Howl-O-Ween-Safari.

Don’t worry about the scary mummy, make something yummy! If scary is no fun for your little ones, then don’t miss Creepy Cookies on Saturday, October 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium. For more information about spooky story time, Halloween-themed cookie decorating and much more, please visit OmahaZoo.com/Special-Events.

Ghouls & Glow presented by Veridian Credit Union is back at the Zoo. This light-time adventure for the whole family is bigger than ever this Halloween. This zero frightful and all delightful event is an illuminated spectacle for all ages on October 14 – 16, and October 21 – 30. Over 400 larger-than life lanterns, custom-made for the Zoo, will illuminate the Bay Family’s Children’s Adventure Trails.

Trick-or-treating is also back as a nightly event again. Visitors can also catch an animal ambassador program, grab a bite to eat at the new Plaza Café or Glacier Bay Landing grill, or explore some of the Zoo’s indoor exhibits such as Mahoney Kingdoms of the Night or the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium. New this year is pumpkin decorating, s’more stations and Sue’s Carousel rides. Also new is the opportunity to upgrade to a V.I.G. (Very Important Ghoul), which includes early admission, access to the V.I.G. Lounge and an exclusive trick-or-treat bag with light-up wristband, extra candy, souvenir cup, and tickets for a carousel ride, a s’mores kit, pumpkin decorating, and merchandise discount.

Both General Admission and V.I.G. tickets are available for purchase online at OmahaZoo.com/Special-Events. Hours of operation on Sunday through Thursday nights are from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Ticket prices vary based on date of attendance and for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members.
